Just 10 km north are the Leslie Frost classic ski trails or 15km east the skating trails of the New Moose Woods Centre. Sandy Lane has directed land based trail access to the Haliburton County Snowmobile Trails which interconnected with the Tall Pines Trails out of Dorest and the Happy Wanders Trail Network out of Bracebridge. For a different ride, experience the trails of Haliburton Forest, a 60,000 acre private wilderness, which is only a short ride from Sandy Lane by snowmobile or by road. Just leave your cottage and go in any direction for a hour, half day, or a full day on land based trails.
